How to prepare Fried Shrimp

Yield: Two Servings
Ingredients:
10 each Shrimp (21/25 Count Tail On)
1 cup of All Purpose Flour
1 tsp. Garlic Powder
1/2 tsp. Onion Powder
1/2 tsp. White Pepper
1/2 tsp. Cayenne Pepper
1 tsp. Paprika
1/2 tsp. Iodized Salt
2 eggs
Splash of Whole Milk
How to prepare Seasoned Flour
- Place All Purpose Flour in a mixing bowl.
- Add Garlic Powder, Onion Powder, White Pepper, Paprika and Iodized salt and mix well together.
- Set aside.
How to prepare Egg Wash
- In a mixing bowl combine Eggs and Milk together.
- Whisk together until thoroughly combined.
- Set Aside.
How to prepare Fried Shrimp
- Dust the Shrimp in Seasoned Flour and shake off excess.
- Dip into Egg Wash, holding each Shrimp by the tail. (Do not wet the last section of the tail)
- Allow excess to drain off.
- Dust in Seasoned Flower once again.
- Shake off the excess flour.
- Deep fry until golden and fully cooked. (Approximately 3 - 3 1/2 minutes)
- Transfer to catch pan to drain excess oil.
Quick Tip: If you don't have a deep fryer handy, you can add frying oil (canola oil, vegetable oil, grapeseed oil) to a deep pot. Fill it half full. Preheat the oil to a cooking temperature and carefully drop coated Shrimp right into your pot. Let them cook until golden brown and remove with a scoop.
Fried Shrimp pair perfectly with Tartar Sauce or Cocktail Sauce.
